Meeting Dates and Deadlines 2011-2012

The Social Studies Divisional Committee typically meets the second Thursday of each month at 1:30 p.m. Specific meeting dates are listed below. All items for the agenda must be received by divisional committees staff by noon three weeks before the meeting at which action is requested.

September 8 (deadline: noon on August 18): Course changes for the Spring 2012 Schedule of Classes must be approved no later than the September meeting. New courses can be added at any time.
October 13 (deadline: noon on September 22)
November 10 (deadline: noon on October 20)
December 8 (deadline: noon on November 17): Course changes for the Summer 2012 Schedule of Classes must be approved no later than the December meeting. New courses can be added at any time.
January 26 (note: fourth Thursday) (deadline: noon on January 5)
February 9 (deadline: noon on January 19): Course changes for the Fall 2012 Schedule of Classes must be approved no later than the February meeting. New courses can be added at any time.
March 8 (deadline: noon on February 16)
April 12 (deadline: noon on March 22)
April 26 (note: extra meeting, fourth Thursday) (deadline: noon on April 5)
May 10 (deadline: noon on April 19)

Two meetings are scheduled for April to accommodate the anticipated large number of tenure dossiers to review.

Other deadlines

January 3: Deadline for nominations for the Hilldale Award. The call for nominations will be sent in the fall.
February 1: Deadline for nominations for the Hilldale Lecture 2012-2013. The call for nominations will be sent in the fall.
